#BookBlogWriMo Day 9: Your Blogging Workflow

Day 9: Your Blogging Workflow

So today is another difficult one for me to write about. Why? Well I feel like I don't really have a workflow. Well besides read book, write review, schedule and post review, post on Facebook & Twitter, then post on Amazon and Goodreads. I feel like it is pretty basic. Just read, write, post everywhere I want to. Well okay I guess I can be a little more specific on parts. How about I make a numbered list cause lists are fun! Okay here goes:

1. Read book (duh)

2. Sometime thereafter, at least a day and up to a week or so, write up a review. Occasionally I will jot down notes right after that I want to make sure to include, but not usually. Sometimes I will write a really scathing review for books I hate then pretty much not use any of it when I go and actually write the review I will post. For those ones I need to get it out so I can stop thinking about it, then I read it right before I start my new, not so mean and hopefully not so ranty review. I wait at least a day to write the review so that I have time to digest and really think about the book and what I thought. I do take in to account what I felt immediately after finishing, but I like to process a bit before writing down my thoughts.

3. Schedule and post said review. Usually I have posts scheduled at least a week in advanced, but sometimes more depending on what is going on. I try and have all my posts done before going on vacation so I don't have to worry about it.

4. Once the review is posted I also update Facebook & Twitter with the review.

5. About a week after the review is posted to my blog I post it in Amazon and Goodreads. Not sure why I do this, but I started for some reason and now it is just what I do...

6. There is no number 6.

That is about all I suppose. So there you have it. My blog workflow.
