Available now on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: From international bestseller Rachael Herron, comes a book too delightful to put down:  Once Adele, Molly and Lana were The Darling Songbirds, a world-famous country band. Now they're just three sisters who barely speak. But that's about to change.  Middle sister Molly arrives in town, and is immediately drawn to the neglected little café where she worked as a teenager. Could she dare to bring it back to life? As lead singer, Molly had always been the voice of the band. But caught between controlling big sister Adele and demanding baby sister Lana, she never felt heard. If she's going to reopen the café, she'll do it on her own terms, no more being bossed.  So the last person she should fall for is the handsome Sheriff Colin McMurty - the man whose job it is to tell people exactly what to do.  Review: The Songbird's Call was such a beautiful read. It has been a while sin

Kick Push (Kick Push #1) by Jay McLean

Image
Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: There’s a single defining moment within every skater.  It lasts only a second. Two if you're good.  Three if you’re really good.  It’s the moment you’re in the air, your board somewhere  beneath you, and nothing but wind surrounds you.  It’s the feeling of being airborne.  The sixteen-year-old version of me would’ve said it was the  greatest feeling in the world.  Then at seventeen, I had my son.  And every single second became a defining moment. Even the ones that consisted of heartbreak when his mother left us.  Seventeen. Single. Dad.  That’s what my life became.  Yet, every day, I managed to find that feeling of being  airborne.  Or at least I convinced myself I did.  But I lied—to myself and to everyone around me.  Until she showed up; Tanned skin, raven dark hair, and eyes the color of emeralds.  You know what sucks about being in the air?  Coming down from the

Before long, she finds herself in a whirlwind romance that seems too good to be true--until a series of devastating events leaves her questioning everything. It's not until she chooses to think with her heart instead of her mind that she can rise from the ashes to learn the truth of their connection. Review : All of It was very disappointing. After reading, loving, crying through Bright Side I expected another amazing read. I know this was the authors first book, but still I wanted more.

Unexpected Fate (Hope Town #1) by Harper Sloan

Image
Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: Have you ever felt like you were living your life for a future that was predetermined? Like there was some bigger picture you just prayed you would someday see clearly? That picture has been crystal clear to me since I was old enough to recognize it for just what it was. Or I should say recognize him for who he was. I’ve loved Cohen Cage since I was a small child. He’s been my everything for the last twenty-two years. I’ve loved him through every girlfriend he’s ever brought home. Through his college years and then mine. I’ve loved him through two deployments. And ever since the day I told him how I felt, he’s acted like I’m a stranger. My name is Danielle Reid, and it’s time for me to get my man.  Our future is an unexpected fate, and no matter what our parents, siblings, and friends say…it’s going to be worth every second of the fight to make it happen.  Review: Since I finished reading U

Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan

Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different?  Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place betwe

Empty Promises (Promises #3) by Elle Brooks

Image
Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: Emily ~ What would you do if you knew when you were going to die? Would you will death to come and claim you quickly? Or would you pray for more time?  It wasn’t until I knew that I was about to die, that I decided to really live. And it wasn’t until I gave up on love, that I finally found it. Just not in any of the places that I’d been searching.  Sometimes you don’t get the fairytale happily ever after, but if you’re lucky, you get so much more. You get a perfect beginning that you can keep hold of until the end. Review: After reading the first two books in this series I was excited to read Emily's story. What happened those last months before she died. I knew she found someone else, and I was interested to see even though I knew how it would end.  Unfortunately Empty Promises was not as good as I had hoped. It was an okay read, but it was too short and hard to really get into.

His newfound friends have a daring plan to rekindle an old revolution, and they want his help. If it all works, Rath could clear his conscience at last, and pay his debt to society. But starting a rebellion will put him squarely in the sights of Beauceron and Paisen as they rush to prevent the looming war. And even Rath's best-laid plans can go astray ... Review: Rath's Rebellion is the newest book in the Janus Group series. You should definitely read the prior 4 books before starting this one. This is a continuation of the same story, though the second book in a new trilogy with the same characters from the first. A  what happens after the events of the first three books.  Rath's Rebellion was so much fun. I really love these books. I love the characters, I love how the trilogy starts o

Perfectly Imperfect by Harper Sloan

Image
Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Goodreads Synopsis: Mirror, mirror … who’s the fairest of them all? I still cringe when I hear that line. A fairy tale that had girls pretending they were the fairest, the most beautiful, and the most entitled. A fairy tale most couldn’t grow out of turned my haunted childhood memories into a living nightmare. Girls who grew up believing that pile of garbage became the meanest of all ‘mean girls.’ And those mean girls were right – it was a line meant for all the beautiful people in the world – and I knew the answer would never be me. The women with long legs, flat stomachs, and perfect chests. The type of women Kane Masters gravitated toward. Well, that’s definitely not Willow Tate. No. That will never be me. Because I’m completely imperfect. And … I hate myself. I have no idea what Kane could possibly see in someone like me when he could have them.  Review: I really wanted to like Perfec

And everyone knows it, including Olivia. As irritated as he might be, protecting Olivia is what Danny does. But put best friends under one roof, add house rules begging to be broken, accidental nakedness, and pancakes in bed, and what started as a marriage between friends threatens to turn into the real deal…which would ruin everything. Excerpt:  The tail end of daylight cast a glow around her in one-of- a-kind beauty and he found himself tucking her hair behind her ear as she looked up at him with similar appreciation.   When her gaze moved to his mouth, he was a goner. He ignored the voice inside his head remindin

Until I Met You by SL Scott

Image
Available on Amazon.com * Amazon.de * Barnes & Noble * Goodreads Synopsis: Their love burned bright, white hot, and strikingly blue around the edges.  Some thought them careless.  Some thought them crazy.  No one approved. Taylor Barrett was looking for answers in a universe that had abandoned him. Jude Boehler flooded her dark world with charisma and mystery, drawing everyone into her hurricane. It was a most captivating of love affairs. They were shooting stars, meteors in the sky, colliding to create a spectacularly wonderful reckless romance, leaving them breathless and tethered.  Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable. Can these two star-crossed lovers survive the madness that is life? Review: Until I Met You was kind of a train wreck for me. The first half I couldn't look away. It wasn't the best, but I just couldn't stop reading it as I wanted to see what happened. Then about halfway through
