And They Called Her Spider (Galvanic Century #1) by Michael Coorlim

Galvanic Century is set in an alternate steampunk world where the reign of Queen Victoria has extended well into the early 20th century. As the world edges inexorably towards a World War that few can even begin to anticipate, brave men and women must contend with airship pirates, clockwork assassins, galvanic monsters, and anarchist madmen.
In their debut adventure, London is in the grip of an unstoppable assassin known only as the Spider, and consulting detectives James Wainwright and Alton Bartleby have been commissioned to catch her.
Can the surly inventor and savvy gentleman track her down and stop her string of murders, or will Queen Victoria be her next victim?
And They Called Her Spider was such a fun read. I wasn't expecting much since it is a novella and they are not always that good, but I just loved this one. This is the story of Barnaby and Wainwright trying to find the secret assassin Spider before it is too late. Spider has been taking out influential p…

Beast Part 4: An Erotic Fairy Tale

If you read Beast part three, and you should have, since these are serials, I don't think I need to entice you to one-click this novella. Beast and Annabelle are f*cked - and you know they're f*ckING, too. Grab your guns and a few extra pairs of panties! We're on the lam, and it's sexier than ever.
Alright, Beast part 4. What to say about this last part of the story? Well it was kind of a mess for me. The first part I didn't like that much because the end was like he raped her which is not cool, not like he was dominating and she was into it. It got better with parts two and three and I was excited to see how they would get out of the mess they are in. Beast had been locked up in solitary and stuffed full of drugs to keep him crazy, and Annabelle was there to warn him that someone was going to try to kill him that day. Only the DA comes in to do just that and things take a bad turn with Annabelle shooting and killing…

Beast Part 3: An Erotic Fairy Tale

Return to La Rosa Prison as Annabelle tries to save Beast from his grizzly fate. Her tongue and hands are doing most of the saving.  Okay, not really.  There's suspense and a healthy dose of smut, too. You know that's how you like it...
In all seriousness, this is an adult book that deals with a variety of intense and mature topics. It's also a novella. If you dislike reading stories in installments, or are a prude, a whiner, or other unsavory sort of character, this may not be a good read for you.
Gah Beast Part 3...I don't know how they are going to get out of this in the last part. At the end of Part 2 we have Beast being drug off into solitary by the crazy DA who has a grudge against him. Uma, the model druggie from the first part that was killed in the car accident, was the DA's granddaughter. Man things don't look good for Beast and Annabelle doesn't really have a way to reach him. Her step dad is no lon…

Beast Part 2: An Erotic Fairy Tale

Continue the dark, erotic journey of Annabelle, the warden's daughter, and the man she's pined for since her girlhood. No longer Cal Hammond, actor, Beast is a brutal man who runs the prison's gangs from behind a shroud of secrecy and lies. Can Annabelle's love save him from his tainted past, or will his deceit ruin both of them?
*Beast 2 is a serial novella. If you don't like novellas, or reading stories in installments, this probably isn't for you. It deals with intense subjects and features absolutely panty-melting sex. If you're on a bus, in the subway, in your office, or babysitting innocent children, I'd advise you to read this story later. If you just can't wait, be warned. Beast will make you wet.
Phew. Beast Part 2 is so much more intense than the first part. I think I just didn't care for the set up and the sexy time at the end of the first part. Felt too much like it was forced and not…

Beast Part 1: An Erotic Fairy Tale

FROM HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY At twenty-one years old, third-generation movie star Cal Hammond was on top of the world. He had more money than God and more women than any man could need. But when a night of debauchery ends in tragedy, he forfeits a life of luxury for a ten-year prison sentence at La Rosa, California’s most violent prison.
TO A BRUTAL BEAST Eight years later, a ruthless, cunning man runs La Rosa from the inside. He is known simply as BEAST. All the wardens fear him. All the gangs obey him. He speaks to no one but his inner council. What he says is law.
Annabelle Mitchell’s father is the warden at La Rosa. He deals as dirty as his trustees, and after years of smooth relations with Beast and the gangs he runs, Holt lands on the powerful prisoner’s hit list. That very afternoon, Annabelle pays a surprise visit to her father’s work, hoping to use her new counseling license at a place she thinks she could make a diffe…

Release Day: The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry

Available now on

I was warned about Tristan Cole.
“Stay away from him,” people said. “He’s cruel.” “He’s cold.” “He’s damaged.”
It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.
But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.
We were both empty. We were both looking for something else. Something more. We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.
Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.
Wow The Air He Breathes was just an incredible read. It is one of those books that just broke me down, but then put me back together in a much better way. One of those books where I care so much for the characters that I feel everything. It has been a long time since I have had a book affect me as much as this one and it was amazing.

Elizabeth and Tristan have both suffered loses that neither has really dealt with yet. They are bo…

A Lady Awakened (Blackshear Family #1) by Cecilia Grant

A Lady Awakened

In Cecilia Grant’s emotionally rich and deeply passionate Regency romance debut, a deal with a rumored rogue turns a proper young woman into . . . A Lady Awakened.
Newly widowed and desperate to protect her estate and beloved servants from her malevolent brother-in-law, Martha Russell conceives a daring plan. Or rather, a daring plan to conceive. After all, if she has an heir on the way, her future will be secured. Forsaking all she knows of propriety, Martha approaches her neighbor, a London exile with a wicked reputation, and offers a strictly business proposition: a month of illicit interludes . . . for a fee.
Theophilus Mirkwood ought to be insulted. Should be appalled. But how can he resist this siren in widow’s weeds, whose offer is simply too outrageously tempting to decline? Determined she’ll get her money’s worth, Theo endeavors to awaken this shamefully neglected beauty to the pleasures of the flesh—only to find her dead set against taking any enjoyment…

New Year in Manhattan (Empire State #3) by Louise Bay

New Year in Manhattan (The Empire State Series Book 3)

Anna and Ethan are separated by the Atlantic Ocean. Their previous rules no longer apply.
In order to make things work, Anna needs to let go of her past and take a risk with Ethan. Ethan needs to learn how to deal with the ambiguity of a relationship.
Long-distance relationships are never easy and their situation is fragile. For how long can it survive under the pressure of separation? Are either of them prepared to give up what they have for the other?

But distance isn’t the only obstacle Anna and Ethan face. Ultimately they have to decide whether they want to share a future together.
New Year in Manhattan is the last book in this novella series. While I did enjoy reading them all Anna is annoying. If she could just talk to Ethan like a normal person most of their problems would be resolved.

At the end of the last book Ethan went back to New York, Anna stayed in London, but they agreed to do a long distance thing. I…

Autumn in London is the second part of The Empire State Series, a series of three novellas. The series starts in A Week in New York and concludes in New Year in Manhattan.
Anna Kirby went to New York to escape heartbreak and have some fun. She wasn't meant to meet someone . . . someone like Ethan. Now, back in London, she's having to get over a man who's three thousand miles away....
Ethan Scott broke every one of his rules during his week with Anna and now he can't seem to go back to life before her. A business trip to London gives him the opportunity to change his rules for good. Will he take it?

The Series concludes in New Year in Manhattan
Autumn in London is a continuation of Anna and Ethan's story. The first book left off with Anna heading back to London after erasing her number from Ethan's phone (and his from hers). She didn't want anything more than that one week even though she was f…

A Week in New York (Empire State #1) by Louise Bay

A Week in New York (The Empire State Series Book 1)

Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her.
A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the night, and he doesn't make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.
***Not suitable for younger readers due to sexual content and language.***

I enjoyed One Week in New York way more than I thought I would. Because it was …

Hansel.  Gretel.
They were captives who shared a wall, and cut a hole in it so they could hold each other's hands. Until he killed their captor, Mother. Then he disappeared, and as the world swooped in to save the Children locked away in Mother's house, the girl called Gretel became...lost. No breadcrumbs.

Leah's given Hansel - Lucas, he says it is - every piece of herself. And he's been both cruel and kind.
What they share is dangerous.  What they feel is dark.  Their history is twisted.  Their hearts already broken.  And that's before the secrets are revealed.
*Hansel Part 4 is the final installment in this erotic fairy tale. Full disclosure: it's a dark read. If you don't enjoy mind-bending stories with disturbing twists, this…

Hansel, Part 3 by Ella James

Hansel Part 3: An Erotic Fairy Tale

In part three of Hansel's story...Limits are pushed, walls come down, and secrets are revealed. Fairy tales are cautionary tales, remember?

*This is a dark, erotic romance, and is part three in a four-part serial series.

*Note: you should have read the first two parts before starting this one. This is a continuation of the same story*

Hansel, Part 3 is another great chapter to this amazing story. It is dark, it is hot, it is gritty, it is amazing.

At the end of the last part Luke was trying to get Leah to go and leave him be. He has a hard time with his past and everything he did. He doesn't think Leah would want to be around him if she knew what he did. You don't know everything yet, but you get more glimpses in this one and woah. If what is implied is what happened that no wonder Luke is so messed up about it. He keeps trying to push Leah away, but she is so stubborn she won't go. She knows him. She knows he is not te…

Hansel, Part 2 by Ella James

Hansel Part 2: An Erotic Fairy Tale

He was Hansel.  She was Gretel.  Once upon a time, they shared a prison wall inside a crazy woman's house. When they meet again, he has a whip. She wears a mask. And fear runs high - for so many reasons.  What will happen when the mask comes off, the walls come down?
Fairy tales are cautionary tales, remember?
*This story is very dark, with many mature themes. If you don't like dark stories, you may not enjoy it.

*Note: you should have read the first part before starting this one. This is a continuation of the same story*

Wow this story just gets better and better! Hansel Part 1 leaves off when Hansel/Edgar/Luke kicks the girl he was testing for a sub out then finds out she was actually Leah. This part picks up a few days later and man. I am loving this story. I am so glad I gave it a try. The whole dark erotic fairy tale was kind of an eh idea for me, but man is this g…

Hansel, Part 1 by Ella James

Hansel Part 1: An Erotic Fairy Tale

One boy. Mother calls him Hansel.  One girl. Mother named her Gretel.  Locked in little rooms, in the mountainside mansion of a crazy woman.  Until he saws a hole into the wall dividing them.  Then at least, they have each other’s hands.
It doesn’t end well at Mother’s house.  Everything gets…broken.
Ten years later, they meet again in an exclusive Vegas sex club.  Whips.  Chains.  And most of all, a mask.  What happens to love when it gets twisted?
Fairy tales are cautionary tales, remember?
Phew. Hansel was...part 1 is kind of amazing. I read the synopsis and thought dark erotic fairy tale? That could be good or it could be a disaster. I will either love it or I will hate it. I hadn't read anything by the author before so I just decided to give it a go. It is a quick read so if it was bad I wouldn't be wasting a lot of my time. Well this was far from bad. I loved this story, at least thi…

All Your Reasons (Crave #1) by Nina Levine

All Your Reasons: Crave Series

When heartbreaker meets ball breaker, sparks will fly.
Rockstar, Jett Vaughn, isn’t against settling down, but no woman has ever held his attention long enough for a relationship to develop. That is until he meets Presley Hart. She’s confident, opinionated and headstrong. She drives him to the edge of crazy, but he can’t deny how she makes him feel.
He wants her heart, but she only wants his body.
Presley’s not against giving her heart to a man, but she has too many reasons why he’s not the one to give it to. Jett isn’t a man who will take no for an answer though. He’s about to declare war on her reasons and take what he wants.
The best thing about All Your Reasons is that is was a really short, quick read. It doesn't really have much substance to it so it was just blah.
Presley is this girl who apparently falls in love with everyone instantly and doesn't make the right choices with men. She is married to…
