Review:

Until We Touch was another great Fool's Gold read. It was hot and fun and I really enjoyed it. The issues at the end seemed a lot darker than normal though. It was kind of devastating to watch, but of course everything works out eventually.

Jack is one of the new ex-football players in town with the PR firm. He has worked with Larissa for a while now and they work well together. Larissa is always trying to save everyone and everything and Jack always lets her do it, helping when he can. He keeps animals at his house for her and such until they find permanent homes. She is such a sweet girl and I love how she tries to save all the animals.

When Larissa's mom comes to visit, she stops by Jack's office to tell him to fire her so she can move back to LA and find a guy to fall in love with. She needs to do this since she will never find one in Fool's Gold since she is in live with Jack. That is all it takes. After that Jack starts to notice Larissa as a women. She is a masseuse and her touch is now something he wants. Larissa is adamant that she doesn't love Jack, but everyone can see that they both care for each other.

Jack keeps kissing Larissa, and once she realizes she does love Jack she thinks if they start dating she will see his flaws and fall out of love with him. Yeah it made no sense to anyone else in the book either, but there it is. They were so sweet together I just loved it. Oh and there is a teen boy who Larissa saved from living on the streets that is now living with Jack as well. They are one big happy family, until they are not.

Jack has issues with getting attached. Every time he does he loses what he wants. He lost his parents when he was a teen, and things never work out with the women he has tried to date. When he gets pressured to do to much, to give to much of himself and actually form bonds with people, he breaks down. It was so sad and devastating watching him self destruct. You just can't help but feel for him, but at the same time he is doing it to himself. I knew it was coming, but man this was a hard one to read. All of the book have the guy freak out at the end, the girl in tears trying to move on, and then the guys realize they need the girls and they live happily ever after. At first with this book I thought it would be nice to have something different, but this ending really worked for me. I liked it because it was darker than normal. It seemed more realistic with the characters. I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait for more from Fool's Gold!
