Review:

Let me start by saying this isn't going to be a very good review. Why? Well I don't really know what to write about this book. I have been holding this review for a while thinking something would come to me, but all I have is meh. It is very strange. Usually I am very opinionated, I like something or I don't, but this I don't really have an opinion on at all. It was alright I guess. The characters, the writing, the storyline, everything I just don't have feelings on this story one way or the other. Well the one thing I do have an opinion about is the title. Smittened. That really bugs me. It's not really a word and every time I see it I wonder why the author chose it instead of Smitten. But that is a personal preference thing I suppose. Other than that I don't really know what to say in this review.

Dahlia is an independent woman trying to save her ice cream shop. She trusts people and that doesn't always work out for her so now she is in some financial trouble. When a music superstar shows up in town she thinks if she can get him to come to her special ice cream event she is having she might be able to make do until the summer rush.

Mikey is Billy, the music superstar's, drummer. He is in town trying to keep an eye in Billy, but ends up burning down his house that happens to be right across from Dahlia's. She offers him a place to stay since he obviously doesn't have anywhere. There is an attraction between them right from the beginning, but both are hesitant to do anything. Mike thinks she really wants Billy and he is just a way to get Billy and she just doesn't want to get involved with someone else after her last disaster. Things progress, they are happy until there is a bump in the road and then everything works out in the end.

This story was an alright read, but not anything special. It wasn't as cheesy summer fun as I had hoped it would be. It wasn't serious or humorous or really anything for me. It was just blah. I know that is a really detailed technical description....I just cannot think or anything to say about the story, the characters, the writing, anything except it is just eh. I know this is not a very good review, but I don't think waiting another week to see if inspiration hits will help. I expected fun shenanigans and just got not much. Oh well.
