Logan is now live!!

Now available on

Synopsis:

As a kid, Logan Preston was a brat.

Through his teens, he became the bad boy

Now, at nineteen, no one knows what the hell to expect.

***

High school dropout, Logan Preston is a

good-for- nothing stoner.

A black sheep.

A disappointment.

The worst Preston Punk of the lot.

At least that’s how everyone in his small town

makes him feel.

But Logan Preston has secrets.

Secrets so dark and so deep below the surface that the only way he can fight them is to stay high, high, high.

He wears cockiness as a mask.

Arrogance as his armor.

Until one girl, one night, asks one life-changing question:

What's beneath the bravado, Logan Preston?

Review:

Oh man, I love the Preston brothers! I was really excited to read Logan, to see what he is all about and what he is hiding. Oh, this book. I don't know how Aubrey did it. How she put up with everything that came her way, but oh this book got to me. I loved it.

Logan is a high school dropout. A stoner. A disappointment. He is the one that always messes up, but that is okay because he has Mary aka marijuana. She is always there for him and never lets him down. She lets him forget what happened. She lets him sort of live. As long as he has her he doesn't need anything else. He is not all bad though. He works at his father's company, with some of his siblings, and he is good at it. He is even thinking about taking some trade classes to learn more. Not bad for the high school dropout.

Aubrey is new in town. She doesn't really know anyone, doesn't really have any friends, but she had to get out and live for herself for a bit. Away from her past, away from everything that happened. And even though Logan apparently hates her, she notices him. Always has. And when they start spending time together things get tricky. Because she has been told she is needy. Clingy. Too much. Who could love her?

These two...man. I...I know Logan has a past. Something that happened. And at first I thought maybe we knew about it in prior books and I just forgot about it (it has been awhile since I read the prior books), but I don't think so. It was...my heart hurt for Logan. For all of his bravado he just tries to forget everything. He tries to stay high when he can so he doesn't have to deal with everything. And that only works so long. Especially when you start falling in love with someone else. When Mary gets jealous. When you have so many issues to work through, but don't want to. It is not easy, their ride is hella bumpy, and my heart broke for both of them at times. I don't know how Aubrey put up with everything that she does. Not that she is a doormat, she isn't, she stands up for herself and what she needs/deserves, but it would be hard to love someone like Logan. Who is self-destructive. Who needs help but is not at the point where he wants to ask for it yet. Who will end up hurting you even if he doesn't mean to. Because that boy? He has demons to fight. But hopefully, he can fight them and come out the other side stronger and better and wonderful. Logan broke my heart, but I loved him anyway.
