He Kissed Me First (Kiss & Make Up #2) by Sara Ney

Available on

Synopsis:

This novel, along with all others in this series, is a standalone with no cliffhanger. You're welcome.

HE SAID...

“Trust me – If there’s one thing I’m not attracted to, it’s the shrieking, overly-dramatic shrew that’s taken over my sister’s apartment. And what is up with her hair? I know what I want; an easy, uncomplicated lay – and Cecelia Carter sure as shit isn’t one. But I never could resist a challenge, and vow to wipe that condescending grin off her pretty face. Aw, shit. Did I just call her pretty..?” – Matthew Wakefield

SHE SAID...

"Trust me - If there's one thing I'm not attracted to, it's an arrogant, selfish and foul-mouth hockey player. I know what I want; someone who’s good for my body and soul and makes me laugh - and Matthew Wakefield isn't any of those things. I cannot stand the sight of him; I mean, what a jackass. If I refuse to give him anything but sass and sarcasm, it's only because he deserves it…” - Cecelia Carter

This book is intended for those 17 and older. If you're offended by cursing (particularly "F" bombs), sarcasm, sexual situations and Alpha Male jackasses - this book is not for you...

Review:

I loved this story! I started it late one night thinking I would just read a little bit before bed and read more the next day. I enjoyed the first book in the series, but it wasn't a keep me up all night because I can't put it down kind of book. It was great, so I thought this book would be similar. Plus it was the story of Matthew whom we met in that first book and I really didn't like him in that so I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy his story. Well I started it and then before I knew it my husband was telling me it was time for bed, so I tried to sleep, couldn't, and got up and finished the book. I loved it. I couldn't put it down. I love Matthew! And Cece! Oh this story was fun.

Matthew is a jerk. He knows it, but he doesn't really care. He is also a hockey player and loves playing. When he first meets Cece, his sisters roommate, she comes across as a bit crazy. It was fun. And he antagonizes her to no end. I loved it! Cece didn't like him at first either. I mean he is such a jerk!

When Molly, Matthew's sister and Cece's roommate, asks Cece to write her brother for her since she lost her phone and doesn't have a way to get ahold of him she reluctantly does. And that starts the story of Matthew and Cece. These two went back and forth getting each other riled up, but loving it at the same time. Neither wants to admit they like the other so it was a lot of fun to watch.

Now Matthew knows he is a jerk, and he doesn't really change, but I felt for him. He is so clueless at times I just wanted to give him a hug. Oh this guy. From going into the book thinking I would hate him to loving him by the end it was awesome. And Cece was just as great. I loved this story. I loved these characters. It was so. Much. Fun!
