#BookBlogWriMo Day 5: What is something that you want to improve about your blog?

Day 5: What is something that you want to improve about your blog?

What do I want to improve? Well I still have on my to-do list to update the look of my blog. I just have an idea of what I want it to look like, a different header and artwork and stuff, but I haven't gotten around to it. It is not that high of a priority at the moment and it entails me learning a bit more about computer programming and all that. I guess I could probably get my husband to help me since he does work in that field. Maybe I will move that up my to-do list for next year.

Something else I want to pursue, maybe not necessarily an improvement, but I want to start making some video reviews. Sometimes it is just easier to talk about a book rather than write about it. I get together with a friend fairly frequently and discuss books and it is so much easier. Especially with books I absolutely love. It is hard for me to really express how much I love something with the written word. But talking? No problem. Then you have all the body language and such to go along with it and I think it would be fun. It would probably be a bit easier for me. I could talk on and on about a book, love or hate or neutral. But writing? That takes me a while and I have to be in the right mood. At the moment I have a huge backlog of books to write reviews for, but part of me thinks that if I made video reviews that would be so much easier and quicker. I still don't think I am really a writer even though I have write reviews for a few years now. I am getting better (look back at some of my first reviews or when I am not in the mood to write and man they are not good). Writing was never my thing. I never cared for it that much, but I do like having reviews for books I read. I read too much not to. So maybe I will figure out this video blog thing next year and integrate that with this written blog. I still need to figure out how I would want that to work, how to write a small review to post on other websites as well, but I will get to that when I have the time to devote to it.
