One week from today the Neanderthal Seeks Human read along begins! What is this you say? Well in honor of the release of Neanderthal Marries Human, the second book for Janie and Quinn, there will be a read along of the first book so everyone is ready. It doesn't matter if you have never read it or have read it every day since it came out, everyone is welcome to participate! It should be fun! You get to read an amazing book, discuss with other fans, and maybe win some great prizes! Just go here to sign up! All the info is on that page, and you just have to participate to be entered to win prizes. Really it is a great book, one of my favorites, and the second book is just even better. Might as well be ready to read it when it comes out on June 24th!! Below is some key info copied from the facebook page:


WHAT: Read-along, discussions, graphics sharing, giveaways, favorite quotes, questions for the author. At the end of each day there will be a giveaway; everyone who participated will be entered into the giveaway
June 16: Welcome
June 17: Chapters 1-4
June 18: Chapter 5-10
June 19: Chapters 10-13
June 20: Chapters 14-17
June 21: Chapters 18-23
June 22: Chapters 24-27
June 23: Chapters 25-END

HOW: In order to participate, just jump on the event page once (or more) daily and contribute to the conversation. You can ask questions for the group, join in an ongoing Q/A, post a graphic you made inspired by the chapters for that day, etc. At the end of each day there will be a giveaway; everyone who participated will be entered into the giveaway 

WHY: Because NEANDERTHAL MARRIES HUMAN will be published June 24, 2014!!  and some crazy people thought it would be fun to stage an elaborate read-along so they'd be prepared, prepped, and pumped for Janie and Quinn's sequel 

ABOUT THE GIVEAWAYS:
1. At the end of each day there will be a giveaway; everyone who participated will be entered into the giveaway
2. Giveaways are open internationally
3. Penny is sponsoring all giveaways
4. Jennifer will randomly select the winner on the morning of the following day (e.g. the winner for June 17 will be announced sometime during the morning of June 18 EST)
5. The list of giveaway items is pending/forthcoming closer to the event

Best of 2019

If any of you are following along then you may have noticed that 2019 was not the most consistent year for me. I have been posting less and less and I finally came to the conclusion that I need a break. A break from writing reviews. A break from reading things I have to read to review. A break from being on a schedule and blogging, at least for a bit. I will still update my Goodreads with ratings for books I read, maybe a line or two about the book, but I need a break. I need to not have the stress of getting things read and posted and all of that. It has become something I don't enjoy so if I am ever going to get back on the blogging train I need a break. So I am not sure I will be posting in 2020. I will see how it goes. Life got super crazy (in a good way!) in 2019 so I also haven't had or wanted to carve out the time to blog. I am still reading books by authors I love, but this way I also can fit in more books by new to me authors. Or read what I feel like, what I am in the
