Review:

A Heartless Design was a fun read. I love old timey romances and this one was a great one. Cordelia and Sebastian were wonderful together. All the hijinks, all the danger and intrigue, everything was so much fun.

Cordelia is not the usual lady. She doesn't want to marry, she doesn't hire the usual help, she doesn't provide for herself in the usual ways. She always helped her father with his designs, but since his passing she has had to find ways to provide for them herself. She is quite good at what she does, even if she has to hide it from everyone. No one can know her secrets so she has never gotten close to anyone.

Sebastian is a spy on a mission. He has to find out who Cordelia is and if she has what he is looking for. When someone breaks into her place and steals part of her most valuable secrets, Sebastian is there trying to figure it all out. Is she in on selling these top secret designs to the enemy? Or is she innocent in all of this?

As for Cordelia she doesn't know whether she can trust Sebastian or not. I mean it is quite curious that he starts showing up just when her designs are stolen. Showing up and asking questions. These two were so much fun! I loved watching them try and figure everything out. Sebastian has his own secrets, namely that he is a spy, and he doesn't trust easily. These two and their secret rendezvous and running around trying to unravel this mystery of who took the plans and why was so much fun to read. I loved it. I loved these two and I loved watching them try and figure everything out. They were great. Definitely give this one a try.
