Synopsis:

This is a standalone and a spin off of the New York Times best selling Until Series

Wes Silver wasn’t looking for love, but when July Mayson literally knocks him on his ass during their first encounter, his world is turned upside down by the quirky blonde, and every moment with her makes him more determined to protect her.

July Mayson doesn’t understand the pull she feels toward the bad boy biker Wes Silver, but she knows being with him is like nothing she’s ever felt before. Now all she has to do is tell her overprotective father, Asher Mayson, that she’s found her boom.

Review:

*Note I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I was just talking to my husband last night about how I don't read motorcycle club, MC, books. I like hot alpha males, but there is something about MC guys and the way they treat their ladies that I don't like. It is different from other alpha stories I read. Well I started Until July and thought oh no! A MC story! Fortunately this was still an amazing read. Sure Wes has some whatever it is I don't like about MC guys, but he has enough Aurora Rose Reynolds that I don't care. Every once and a while there would be something that made me cringe, but I would forget about it two seconds later as the story was just great and everything would be fine. So a great read, even if it is one that I normally would not enjoy. The author really does make the difference sometimes.

Right from the start I loved July. She saves a bird with a broken wing! She goes back and tries to patch the bird up that was in the road while she was riding, taking it home with her to try and fix it. She is a vet with a huge love of animals and that is something I love love love! When she would cry over loosing an animal I could cry too. I love it!

"As a little girl I told myself that my Prince Charming would love to ride motorcycles, have a soft spot for animals, and be strong like my father. When I got older I realized I would have a better chance of finding the Holy Grail than the man I envisioned spending the rest of my life with. "

July doesn't know it at first, but Wes is everything she wanted in a man. When he comes in to adopt a dog he is so sweet with them. He of course loves his motorcycle since he is a leader in the club, and he is definitely strong like her dad. For the most part he was great. He did have his moments where I was just like no, not cool, but as I said about it was enough of an Aurora Rose Reynolds story for me to not mind too much. It is obvious how much he cares about July right from the start, even if he doesn't always go about it the right way. He doesn't have much experience in the relationship department, but you can just see how much he cares.

Wes and July are two strong willed people and they were great together. Neither likes to back down, but they work. They both make mistakes along the way, it is not just sunshine and roses from the first moment they meet, but they love each other too much not to figure things out in the end. Oh this is just a great read.

"It's not my first kiss, but it's the kiss - the one that makes my soul light up, the kiss you wait your whole life for, the kiss that changes everything you thought you knew."

If you have read the Until series you know July's parents, Asher andNovember, and her uncles and cousins. It was great seeing how Wes respects July's family so much especially because of how important they are to her. He is a great addition to the family! It was sweet getting to see glimpses of those I fell in love with in that series and how the Mayson clan is growing. With so many other Mayson kids I cannot wait to read the next books!

Excerpt:

“What the fuck is wrong with you.” The guy that was at the head of the group asks stepping in front of my bike.

I shake my head as words are lodged in my throat.

He pulls me off my bike and the men who are with him begin yelling obscenities as well.

“Sorry.” I croak out and I don’t even know if he hears me his hand goes to the collar of my leather jacket and he shakes me hard and my hand accidentally presses down on the button for the Taser to ignite it. The loud crack fills the air and his eyes go wide then he falls to the ground and I fall on my ass and crab walk backwards then look up when I hit something only to meet the eyes of another man who looks pissed.

“Get up.” He growls picking me up my feet flail under me as I’m lifted off the ground with my hands restrained behind my back.

“Hold him still.” The guy who I had Tazered growls in front of me as I try to get away from the anger I feel coming off him.  His hands go to my head and he rips my helmet off causing my hair to float down around me.

Complete silence descends I swear no one even takes a breath.

“Um.” I bite my lip
